WHAT IS OMOTENASHI?

"Omotenashi" is the Japanese concept of hospitality. It starts with giving guests a warm greeting and a commitment to provide the best experience possible without expecting anything in return. You can see this in many aspects of Japanese society. People come from all over the world to experience it!

Mie is known for its history of providing great hospitality. Since many travelers came to Mie to visit Ise Shrine, the people here have had a lot of experience making visitors feel relaxed and at home.

At Omotenashi-net Yokkaichi, we work to take this spirit of "omotenashi" that we have experienced and share it with all the travelers who come here.

HELPING TRAVELERS DISCOVER MIE

Yokkaichi will have many Japanese and international visitors coming to our city. The Diamond Princess cruise ship will be making a port call in Yokkaichi on June 24th, 2018. It can carry over 2,500 passengers in addition to its large crew of 1,100. Roughly 10% of the Diamond Princess passengers come from countries outside of Japan.

This is a good chance to help them make lasting memories by recommending tours and providing information that will help in discovering the treasures of Yokkaichi and Mie.
